Objectives of the study programme

The Business Management study programme aims at educating professional assistants for managers in business organisations. The graduates of the programme shall be equipped with knowledge and skills necessary to apply organisational methods, techniques and tools in order to support management processes professionally and ethically.


Characteristcs of candidates

The study programme is addressed primarily to people who are ready to work in organisations which adopt challenging norms and principles and which operate in a multi-cultural, global environment. The candidates are expected to be: (1) capable of communicating in English, (2) open for cooperation, (3) capable of analytical and logical thinking and (4) capable of perceiving the surrounding reality in a structured way.

The candidates should also show interest in economic and social processes, be open for exchange of views and show readiness for accepting changes.


Provided knowledge, skills and competences

Graduates of the study programme will possess the fundamental knowledge of social sciences as well as of methods and techniques for supporting management processes in business organisations. What is more, they will be prepared to use them professionally and ethically.

The graduates will further obtain the skills necessary for using management support methods in order to identify and structure organisational problems.

Finally, the graduates will seek to find and implement the acquired knowledge and skills in a professional and ethical way.


Employment possibilities

Graduates of the study programme may be employed in professionally managed business organisations. They will be ready to work in multi-cultural, multi-national and global companies which have well-developed management infrastructure and a multitude of various interests (stakes). This does not exclude the possibility of working for small of family businesses.

Graduating from the Business Management study programme, together with several years of experience on the post of a specialist-assistant to a manager, may be sufficient foundation for applying for executive posts of for launching a new business.
